I hope you enjoy these recipes. I have used these recipes for my weight loss
and they help. I will share more as I
get more recipes. Any recipe could be
used, if you are following a fat-free/low-fat diet, remove the butter or oil
and find a substitute.
TUNA NOODLE
CASSEROLE
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 large onion, diced
1 can tuna with liquid
1 ½ cups milk (skim for fat free)
1 tbsp. corn starch mixed with ½ cup water
1 cup green peas
3 cups fusilli pasta, cooked
Saute' mushrooms and onions until tender. Pour the liquid from the tuna into the
pan. Add milk and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer until thick. Add the tuna, and peas. Add pasta and let simmer for about 2 minutes.
VEGETARIAN CHILI
I don’t have a real recipe for this chili. I add whatever vegetables I want. I use mushrooms, onions, peppers (green, red,
yellow, orange), zucchini, and potatoes.
You can add whatever vegetables you want.
1 can of Accents chili diced tomatoes. You can use any diced tomatoes you want,
Accents adds spices for chili.
1 can red kidney beans
1 large can of tomato juice
If you like spicy chili, you can add more chili powder.
Sauté vegetables. I
do not use any oil, I only use water to sauté the vegetables. Add the diced tomatoes and red kidney
beans. Let simmer for about 10
minutes. Add the tomato juice. The longer the chili cooks, the better the
flavor.
VEGETARIAN GOULASH
Like the chili, I use lots of different vegetables. Use whatever you like. I use the same vegetables as the
goulash.
3 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
1 can Accents Italian tomatoes
1 jar spaghetti sauce
Saute vegetables until tender, I use no oil. Add the tomatoes and spaghetti sauce. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. Add pasta and let simmer for about 15
minutes.
I purchased a book by George Mateljan.....
I made a creamy New York Cheesecake and it was delicious. I will add that recipe and others from the book. I am giving the author credit.
